In Sonat and in our network there is a unique, collective competence within retails sales logistics, which we have collected in the business area, Retail. Our offer within Retail consists of a number of methods and procedures that lead to fast results. We have developed a methodology to quickly identify and utilize potential for improvements in the supply chain.

“With our methods, we identify those areas in the value chain that can generate the greatest efficiency gains. As a part of our work we also create an action plan for how these areas should be developed in the best way,” says Mattias Norin, manager of the business area, Retail.

Sonats' procedures are totally focused on quickly finding the largest improvement potential and ensuring that this is turned into practical improvements. The starting point is that the largest improvements can be found within the six areas: Product and profitability analysis, Selection and shop categories, Purchasing, Procurement, Shop stocking and also Warehousing and Transport (Also see Quick Wins).
“In general, there is a very large potential for improvements in these areas,” says Mattias Norin and adds that a normal effort takes 4-5 weeks with a number of workshops where analyses and results are firmly established and discussed.
